Larry Wayne Kreder, age 67, of Garland, passed away peacefully Monday, September 12, 2011 at his residence. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home Chapel in Garland. Mr. Kreder was born August 15, 1944 in Waco, the son of Alvin R. and Ethel Ovell (Parker) Kreder. He grew up in Hoen, Gerald and Leroy and attended West schools. Larry served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. Upon his return he graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington. Larry worked for the Owen's Illinois Glass Plant and General Tire and Rubber Company in Waco. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in Dallas prior to working for Wells Fargo Bank in Dallas until 2009. Larry enjoyed playing tennis, fishing, playing dominoes and he especially loved spending time with family and friends. Survivors include a son, Alexander K. Kreder and wife Jennifer, of Louisville, Kentucky; a grandson, Brody Austin Kreder; four brothers, Gary Kreder of Ross, and James Kreder, Alvin Kreder and Danny Kreder, all of Waco; four sisters, Mary Ann Price and Joy Kreder, both of Houston, Sue Lange of Bellville, and Julie Mechell of West; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
