Larry Porter

Larry Porter, age 73, of Whitney, formerly of Arlington, passed away late Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2020 at his residence. Per Larry's request, no services will be held. Larry was born July 28, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Lambert J. "Bud" and Margaret (Seddon) Porter. After moving to Arlington, Texas 1948 he attended Arlington Schools and was a 1965 graduate of Arlington High School. On September 11, 1986 he was united in marriage to Melissa White in Granbury. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Marines Corp Reserves. He was the owner and operator of Anchor Plumbing and Heating for 25 years before retiring in 2002. Larry enjoyed fishing and hunting. Larry is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Tommy Porter. Survivors include his beloved wife of 34 years, Melissa Porter of Whitney; a daughter, Dawn Fratangelo and husband Matt of Kennedale; a son, Kyle Porter and his girlfriend Sarah Wethington of Whitney; his granddaughters, Lily and Ryan Fratangelo and Violet Porter; a sister, Lynn Stanley and husband Reith; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
