Larry David Cheshier

May 25, 1947 — July 30, 2006

Larry David Cheshier, age 59, of Whitney, went home to be with Jesus late Sunday afternoon, July 30, 2006 surrounded by family and loved ones at his home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Pastor Terry Gayle officiating. Burial will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday at the funeral home. David was born May 25, 1947 in Warren, Arkansas, the son of Peter and Frances (Simms) Cheshier. He attended schools in Benton, Ark and graduated from Benton High School before attending the Assembly of God University in Waxahachie. On October 11, 1997 he was united in marriage to Donna Kathyleene Vaughan in West. He was a truck driver for U.S. Transport in Waco since 1997. He was a member of the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney. David enjoyed fishing, attending church functions and listening to Blue Grass and Gospel music. He especially loved playing with his grandchildren and attending their sports and school events. Survivors include his beloved wife of eight years, Kathy Cheshier of Whitney; one son, Eric Cheshier of Denton; three daughters, Stephanie Gray and her husband Les of Abbott, Amy Willbanks and her husband Clint of Aquilla, and Connie Slay of Arlington; his father, Peter Cheshier of Neodesha, Kansas; one brother, Edward Cheshier of Mabank; nine grandchildren, Mike, J. D. & Kassidee Willbanks, Cutter & Bailey Gray, Alec & Megan Cheshier, Michelle & Shane Cooper; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are David Girard, Mike Boyer, Rick Pinner, Bubba Tyra, Troy Gatlin, Don Broyles, Rob Beasley and Jay Harris. Special thanks to members of the Open Range Cowboy Church and the Heart of Texas Hospice for all of their loving care & support. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
