LaFern Waggoner, age 76, of Aquilla, passed away early Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. LaFern was born June 17, 1935 in Stamford, the daughter of George Edwin and Rosa Bell (Ferrell) Lowe. She attended schools in Stamford and was a graduate of Stamford High School. On December 29, 1954 she was united in marriage to Garnet Ray Waggoner in Stamford. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2005. LaFern worked in the cafeteria at Latham Springs Baptist Encampment near Aquilla for over 20 years before retiring in 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of West and was a former member of Aquilla Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking, playing dominoes, shopping, playing bingo, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. LaFern is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Garland Lowe and Kenneth Lowe; two sisters, Margaret Rorie and Betty Lowe; and a grandson, Justin Ryno. Survivors include a son, Paul Waggoner and wife Diana of Robins; two daughters, Pamela Ryno and husband Randy and Penny Sitton and husband Dawayne, all of West; a brother, Tommy Lowe and wife Ann of Clyde; a sister, Ruby Rorie of Stamford; sisters-in-law, Doris Lowe and Faye Miller; six grandchildren, Julie Veselka and husband Mark, Kellie Sue Waggoner, Natthan Waggoner and wife Samantha, Zachary Robinson and fianc Megan Turner, Michael Sitton, and Kyle Sitton; several great-grandchildren, including Caitlin, Gabby and MaKayla Veselka, Riley and Alex Sitton and one on the way, Kenley Robinson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Randy Ryno, Dawayne Sitton, Zachary Robinson, Kyle Sitton, Mark Veselka, and Hal Cox. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Memorial Fund or Latham Springs Baptist Encampment.
