Kinch Hill, age 95, of Aquilla, passed away late Friday morning, January 14, 2022 at Providence Hospital in Waco. Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery near Laguna Park, with Rev. Jeremy Beggs and David Snipes officiating. Military honors will be conducted by West Veteran's Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Kinch was born October 22, 1926 in Roswell, Texas, the son of Barney and Sybil (Horn) Hill. He attended school in Clifton. On January 31, 1953 he was united in marriage to Bettie Johnson in Aquilla. Kinch proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Lebanon United Methodist Church near Aquilla and was a farmer for most of his life. Kinch enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything to do with the outdoors. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4819 and a Life Member of the National Rifle Association. Kinch is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James "Jim" Hill; and a sister, Wessie Faye Gant. Survivors include his beloved wife of 69 years, Bettie Hill; two sons, Dennis Hill of Aquilla and Larry Hill and his wife Michelle, all of Aquilla; a brother, D.L. "Dob" Hill and his wife Fern; a sister, Tressie Blassingame; grandchildren, Amanda Bryars, David Hill, Nathan Brackenridge and his wife Kerri, and Laurie Nunez and her husband David; great grandchildren, Draven Bryars, Brizzy Bryars, Kaylee Hill, Bailey Hill, Caitlin Morgan, Tyler Brackenridge, Nicholas Seaman, Nathan James Brackenridge, and Desi Nunez; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery Association or to the Lebanon United Methodist Church.
