Kevin Dale Walters

Kevin Dale Walters, age 53, of West, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 14, 2015 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Kevin was born October 24, 1961 in Franklin, IN, the son of Floyd "Bucky" Walters and the late Constance Malcolm. He graduated from Centergrove High School in 1980 and attended McLennan Community College in Waco. On January 7, 1994, Kevin was united in marriage to Marie Willingham in Waco. He was currently working as a Problems Analyst for American Income Life in Waco for the past 32 years. Kevin was an Emergency Medical Technician and volunteer for the West Ambulance Association for over 21 years and was currently serving as the President of the Board of Directors. He was always ready to serve his community with all their medical needs and helped tirelessly in the recovery from the West Explosion. Kevin was very involved and close to his West Ambulance family and enjoyed their Friday night cookouts. He enjoyed bluegrass music, golfing and watching John Wayne Movies. Survivors include his beloved wife of 21 years, Marie Walters of West; three daughters, Camille Hewett and husband Christopher and Katlyn Ligon and husband Allen, all of Oklahoma City, OK and Kris Crockett and fiancee Daniel Reeves of Golinda; grandchildren, Dominic and Elizabeth; his parents, Floyd "Bucky" and Inez "Sis" Walters; mother-in-law, Donna Etheridge; brothers, Doug Walters and wife Rosie, Roy Walters and wife Bert, Brian Walters and wife Debbie and Dwaine Walters and wife Vanessa; sisters, Vickie Rodgers, Teresa Harrell and husband Bill and Beth Crousore and husband Bill; a sister-in-law, Laura Archie and husband Lamond; a grand puppy, Magnum; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association. Kevin and Marie and their family would like to give a huge thank you to their West EMS family for being there through everything. You will never know all the love and respect we have for all of you.
