Kerry L. Mcduffie

Kerry L. McDuffie, age 57, of Waco, passed away early Thursday afternoon, February 20, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Waco. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at Rosemound Garden of Memory Cemetery in Waco, with Rev. Charles Bledsoe officiating. Kerry was born April 7, 1956 in Houston, the son of Joyce (Sims) and Neil O. McDuffie Jr. He attended elementary school in Pasadena before attending Victoria High School. Kerry served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He became disabled so his mother has taken care of him all of his life. Kerry enjoyed doing carpentry work. He was known for his kind and loving soul. Kerry is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Joyce McDuffie of Waco; a brother, Neil O. McDuffie III and wife Abbie of Hill Top Lakes; a sister, Dana McDuffie Jones and husband Melvin of Houston; an aunt; Melvina Jones; two nieces; three grand nieces; a grand nephew; a great grand niece; and many other relatives and friends. The family extends regards to Dora Longoria for her dedication and care during Kerry's illness.
