Kenneth Joe Lowe

Kenneth Lowe, age 86, of Waco, formerly of West, passed away late Sunday evening, February 14, 2021 at West Rest Haven in West. Per his wishes, no services will be held. Kenneth was born July 13, 1934 in the Tokio community near West, the son of Guss and Tennie(Cox) Lowe. He attended schools in West before entering the United States Navy where he served for 20 years before his discharge at the rank of Chief Petty Officer in September of 1972. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, gardening, and seeing the country by his travel trailer. Collecting and restoring antique automobiles was one of his favorite passions. He was a member of former Good Samaritans and the American Legion Post #479. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Guss Lowe Jr.; and sisters, Fannie Vaughan, Dorothy Walker, and Margaret Powell. Survivors include his daughter, Carmen Steil and husband Kurt of Novato, CA; his beloved granddaughters, Nikki and Nolan Steil; a brother, Dean Lowe and wife Beverly; a sister, Edith Deal and husband John; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
