Kenneth Earl

Kenneth O. Earl Sr., age 76, of West, passed away early Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2013 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Janice Kaluza, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Boniface Onjefu as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Kenneth was born August 10, 1937 in Whitney, the son of William H. and Lora (Tanner) Earl. He attended schools in Chatt and Hillsboro. On January 26, 1957, he was united in marriage to Delois Herring in Hillsboro. Kenneth worked as a machine operator for Exports and Traders Compress in Hillsboro for over 10 years and Harbison-Fischer Mfg. Company in Ft. Worth until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, where he served as gift bearer and Eucharistic Minister. He coached little league ball and enjoyed gambling and going to the Green Door. Kenneth was also a member of the Deer Creek Masonic Lodge #410 in Everman, Meals on Wheels in West, the ACTS Brotherhood, and the 50/50 Club. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chester Earl; sisters, Louise Motley, Wandell Earl, Odessa Mae Earl, and Myri Jean Porter. Survivors include his beloved wife of 56 years, Delois Earl of West; three sons, Kenneth O. Earl Jr. of Ross, William Earl of Waco and Douglas Earl Sr. of West; two daughters-in-law, Deborah Earl and Jeanette Earl; brother, Charles "Bill" Earl; sister, Frances Whittington; five grandchildren, David Earl, Daniel Earl and wife Michelle, Bobbi Jo Knapp, Douglas Earl Jr. and Jacob Earl; twelve great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's School Endowment Fund or the charity of your choice.
