Ken Sellers

Kenneth Lee "Ken" Sellers, age 77, of Elm Mott, passed away late Friday evening, January 5, 2024 at his residence.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Pastors Rick Ogles and Jim Cox officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, conducted by West Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ken was born January 12, 1946 in Waco, the son of the late Monnie and Juanita (Pursley) Sellers. He attended schools in Waco. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed in Germany. On April 23, 1966 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Cook in Waco. He was a member of the Olive Branch Christian Fellowship in Waco. Ken was a mechanical manager for MKT Railroad for 25 years and retired from there in 1993. He then became a federal inspector for the Federal Railroad Administration and retired from there in 2005. Ken enjoyed playing golf, doing outreach ministries, and serving as an associate pastor at the Church on the Rock in Bellmead. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Elizabeth Ann Sellers of Elm Mott; three sons, Mark Sellers and wife Pam of New Braunfels, Jeff Sellers and wife Rebecca of Bryan, and Michael Sellers of New Braunfels; his grandchildren, Lauren Sellers, Jessica Sellers, Mark T. Sellers, Joseph Sellers, Emily Kester and husband Braden, Madelyn Sellers, Logan Sellers, Claire Sellers, Christian Sellers, Madison Sellers, Bailee Sellers, and Makayla Sellers; a great granddaughter, Averi Sellers; a great grandson on the way; three sisters, Patsy Johnston and husband Don, Joy Cooke, and Ruth Davis and husband Clifford; a brother, Michael Sellers; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Christian Sellers, Mark T. Sellers, Joseph Sellers, Logan Sellers, Scott Young, and Brian Davis.
