Kathy Rogers

Kathy (Adams) Rogers, age 77, of Aquilla, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with David Snipes officiating. Burial will follow at New Lebanon Cemetery in Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Kathy was born February 18, 1946 in Waco, the daughter of Emil and Wanda (Gilmore) Adams. She attended school in Aquilla. On August 16, 1980 she was united in marriage to Cecil Rogers in Gholson. Kathy was a member of Lebanon Church. She worked for Wolf Manufacturing in West, and for M & M Mars in Waco for 21 years until her retirement. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, bunko, shopping, dancing and taught dancing lessons at McLennan Community College and Hill Jr. College. Kathy dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronnie Adams; and a son, Jackie "Buddy" Linville.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 43 years, Cecil Rogers of Aquilla; daughter, Lisa Hejl and husband Mark of Aquilla; three grandchildren, Jody Linville and wife Michelle, Amber Perez and husband Chris, and Trent Sappington; five great grandchildren, Caleb Linville, Emilee Perez, Christopher Perez, Julianna Linville, and James Linville; brother, Ricky Adams and wife Gladys; sister, Linda Adams; sister-in-law, Retha Adams; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Brandon Barsh, Bill Barsh, Dennis Boman Jr., Chris Perez, Mark Hejl, and Jody Linville. Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Linville, Trent Sappington, and Joni Boman.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Church.
