Kathleen Warren

September 22, 1959 — March 20, 2023

Kathleen Warren, age 63, of West, passed away Monday afternoon, March 20, 2023 at Medical City Dallas.


Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating.


Kathleen was born September 22, 1959 in Slaton, the daughter of Milton and Gustie (Dworczyk) Gaydos. She was a 1978 graduate of Whitney High School. On October 13, 1983 she was united in marriage to Martin "David" Warren Jr. in West. After 29 years as a stay home mom and home schooling her children, Kathleen went on to attend McLennan Community College to become a L.V.N. She worked as an L.V.N. for Scott and White Clinic in Waco and Clear Springs Rehab & Nursing in Aquilla until she retired in 2018. Kathleen also spent time volunteering at the History of West Museum and the West Public Library. She enjoyed painting, crafts, plants, animals, raising birds, her cats and dogs, embroidery, cooking and trying new recipes. "Grammy K" loved spending time with her grandchildren and organizing family dinners. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West and previously was a member of New Life Fellowship Church at County Line.


Kathleen is preceded in death by her parents; infant sons, William Warren and Christian Warren; and a brother, Paul Gaydos.


Survivors include her beloved husband of 40 years, David Warren Jr. of West; children, John and Edith Tyra of McKinney, Lea and Chance Horton of Aquilla, Joe and Laney Warren of Woodway, Samuel Warren of West, and Elizabeth and Caleb Crawford of Aquilla; brothers, Joe and Elizabeth Gaydos, and Kevin and Susan Gaydos; sisters, Mary and Daniel Webre, Christene Trammell, Monica and Kim Cummings, and Cheryl and Jerry Shaw; grandchildren, Charleigh Warren and Eli Warren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any organizations that distributes Bibles for the World.org.
