Katharina Ahern

Katharina Elisabeth Ahern, age 89, of Ross, passed away Sunday morning, January 5, 2025 at her residence.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek officiating. 

Katharina was born February 6, 1935 in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of Michael and Johanna (Czifersky) Titl. She was a 1951 graduate of Enkbert High School in Vienna. On November 24, 1955 she was united in marriage to Bernard Ahern in Burnley, England. Bernard preceded her in death on January 5, 2007. Katharina was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. She served as treasurer in the 1980's for The Republican Women's Party of Waco and worked for the McLennan County Elections Office. She was a homemaker and Mother. Katharina enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, baking, and gardening. 

Katharina is also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maria Woyner, Kristina Budzinski, and Helena Jones; and brothers, Erich and Engelbert Titl.

Survivors include her children, Michael Ahern, Heidi Ann Marcum and husband Gregory and Mary Ann Ahern, all of Ross; grandchildren, Gregory Marcum Jr. and wife Jayme and Christina Jimenez and husband Angel; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; two sisters, Heidi Titl and Gertrude Holzapfel; a brother, Ludwig Titl; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
