Karen Rejcek, age 60, of Granbury, formerly of West, passed away early Thursday morning, January 7, 2021 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. At the family’s request, memorial services may be held at a later date. Karen was born March 12, 1960 in San Antonio, the daughter of the late Richard and Lena Mae (Hitt) Mounce and the late Nolan Alton Johnson. She attended schools in West and West High School. On October 23, 1976 she was united in marriage to Robert Rejcek in West. Karen was a member of the StoneWater Church in Granbury. She was an administrative assistant for Texas Farm Bureau in Waco and Granbury for many years. Karen admired all things beautiful from the places she traveled to the simple things at home. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy. Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Robert Rejcek of Granbury; her daughters, Jamie Hagar and husband Woody of Granbury and Kelly Tietjen and husband Andrew of Bogata; a sister, Kathy Gremminger and husband Raymond; three brothers, Kenneth Johnson and wife Benita, Keith Johnson, and Karl Mounce and wife Vanessa; sisters-in-law, Tricia Tate and husband Charles, Annette McDonough, and Elaine Morgan; brothers-in-law, Danny Rejcek, Dennis Rejcek and wife Kathy, and Wayne Rejcek and wife Daneen; her grandchildren, Aislyn, Alyse, Gus, Sam, and Jake; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
