Kadyn Luke Reynolds

Kadyn Luke Reynolds, age 18, of West, passed away late Monday evening, May 17, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Ross. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Minister Matthew Solomon officiating. Entombment will follow 1:00 Saturday at Waco Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the West High School Gym. Kadyn was born January 31, 2003 in Waco, the son of William Reynolds and Rebecca (Underwood) Reynolds. He attended West schools and is a 2021 graduate of West High School. Kadyn was a member of Lakeview United Methodist Church and First United Methodist in Waco. He was also a member of the West Boy Scout Troop where he volunteered as a camp counselor at Worth Ranch at Palo Pinto, Texas for a total of 96 hours of service time. Kadyn worked for Sonic and the Hunan Chinese Restaurant, both in West. Kadyn was a beloved student who attended West Independent School District from Pre-K to his senior year with the Class of 2021. His interests and extracurricular activities at West High School included playing football and basketball, playing the flute in the West High School Marching Band, acting, technical theatre, and film. Basketball was his favorite sport and he loved watching the Chicago Bulls Basketball Team. Kadyn is known for his sense of humor and he could truly light up a room with his grand entrance and was awarded the "Class Clown" his sophomore year. He was in the Veronica Gloeckner lunch bunch group and thought of her as his school grandmother because she shared her food with him. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Kadyn is preceded in death by his uncles, Scott Reynolds and Mark Reynolds. Survivors include his; father, William Kyle Reynolds; his mother, Rebecca Reynolds; his paternal grandfather, Ron Reynolds; his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Saunders; maternal grandfather, Randy Underwood; maternal grandmother, Gaila Underwood Ferrel; uncle, Ryan Reynolds and partner Lucas; cousin, Stephanie Frett and husband Randall; great aunt, Gail Stephens; great uncle, William Bowen II; and other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Cooper Adamson, Clark Munn, Zander Wake, Landon Wachtendorf, Dillon Campbell, and Jacob Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be his classmates from the Class of 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kadyn Reynolds Memorial Fund, with fund drop off locations at Citizens State Bank or Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
