Justin Robin Waters, age 18, of West, passed away early Friday morning, January 19, 2007 in Houston, after a courageous battle surrounded by his family and friends. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West by Janice Kaluza. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Stephen Nesrsta and Msgr. Frank Miller con-celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Justin was born on May 28, 1988 in Waco, the son of Robin and Carolyn (Nors) Waters. He graduated with honors from West High School in May of 2006 where he was a member of the National Honor Society and very active in many sports including baseball, basketball, tennis and cross country. He then attended Hill College. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott where he was confirmed in February of 2005 and was active in the youth group. His paternal grandmother, Marolyn Waters Todd; and an uncle, Michael Nors, both precede him in death. Survivors include his parents, Robin and Carolyn Waters of West; one brother, Jacob Waters of West; one sister, Julia Waters of West; maternal grandparents, Robert & Marie Nors of Abbott; paternal grandfather, Richard Waters and his wife Barbara of Salado; maternal great-grandmother, Clara Nors of West; aunts and uncles, Rhonda and Dwain Deiterman, James and Cathy Nors, Richard and Thi Nors, David and Tammie Nors, Matthew and Julie Nors, Kevin and Karleen Nors and Kelly Nors; cousins, Brittany and Blake Deiterman, Katie, Aaron, and Joshua Nors, Tiffany and Sierra Nors, Thomas and Andrew Nors, Brandon and Danielle Nors, Allison and Garrett Nors, Nathan and Kaitlyn Nors; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers will be James Nors, Richard Nors, David Nors, Matthew Nors, Kevin Nors and Dwain Deiterman. Honorary pallbearers will be the West High School Class of 2006. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Justin Waters Scholarship Fund, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Youth Group or the Ronald McDonald House.
