June (Branom) Garland, age 76, of West, passed away late Thursday evening, March 25, 2010 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. Sunday until service time. Ms. Garland was born on February 24, 1934 near Commerce, the daughter of Joe and Bertha (Coke) Branom. She attended Branom school and graduated from Commerce High School in 1951. June worked as a bookkeeper and enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and gardening. She especially loved caring for her three grandchildren during their school years. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Leonard Branom and an infant, Billy Branom; and a sister, Mary Lou Holland. Survivors include two daughters, Donna Crim and husband William of Heidenheimer and Paula Walker and husband Charles of Westlake; a sister, Jane Ritter of Dallas; three grandchildren Taylor Busboom and husband Ryan, Beau Drummond, and Jessica Beck; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Providence Health Center Foundation at (254)751-4762 in memory of June Garland. The family would like to thank all the doctors and staff of Providence Health Center for their excellent care throughout the years.
