Julia (Dudik) Machac, age 101, of Hubbard, passed away late Saturday morning, May 29, 2010 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West by Dorothy Machac, followed by a visitation till 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Penelope, with Rev. B. George as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near Penelope. Mrs. Machac was born on February 24, 1909 in Hubbard, the daughter of Frank and Josephine (Navratilova) Dudik. She attended schools near Cottonwood . On February 17, 1930, she was united in marriage to George Machac in Penelope. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1981. Julia was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and working in her yard. She especially loved spending time with her family. You would often see her taking care of all the family graves and bringing flowers for special occasions. Julia was a faithful member of Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. in Penelope where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar Society. She was also a member of K.J.Z.T. St. Anne's Society No. 35. Julia is preceded in death by six brothers, Louis,Anton, Adolph, Emil, Henry and Joe; and five sisters, Sophie, Mary, Albina, Hattie and an infant sister. Survivors include two sons, Freddie Machac and wife Dorothy of Hubbard and Alphonse Machac and wife Mary of Albuquerque, NM; three daughters, Evelyn Marek and husband Marvin of Austin, Margie Patak of Houston and Betty Svrcek and husband Henry of Bryan; twenty grandchildren; thirty-five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one great great great granddaughter; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Kenneth Machac, Tony Machac, Dennis Marek, Michael Patak, Brian Patak and Chris Svrcek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. or Providence Hospice.
