Judy (Tate) Dalby, age 76, of West, passed away late Monday afternoon, January 4, 2021 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at St. Mary's Cemetery in West, with Ernie Albrecht officiating. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are required at all services. Judy was born September 24, 1944 in Dallas, the daughter of John and Ruby (Honea) Turner. She was a 1963 graduate of Temple High School. On October 7, 2010 she was united in marriage to James Dalby in Dublin. Judy was a member of West Church of Christ. She worked for United States Mine Safety and Health Administration for over 30 years, and was named as an Honorary Kentucky Colonel at a Holmes Conference she attended. Judy enjoyed shopping, reading and traveling. She was a very loving wife and mother who loved spending time with her family. Judy is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Wanda Lou Bergdahl. Survivors include her beloved husband of 11 years, James Dalby of West; her sons, Brad Tate of Ft. Worth and Kevin Tate of Williston, FL; step children, Jami Valdez and husband Gilbert of Lubbock, Michael Couch of Austin, Michelle Phillips and husband Curtis of Burnet, and Angela Overman and husband Jerry of San Antonio; grandchildren, Chance Tate, Emily Valdez, Alex Thomas, Krystal Valdez, Kaitlin Couch, Leah Couch, Jessica Couch, Ben Phillips, Ryley Overman, Russell Overman and Sydney Overman; a brother, Jerry Turner and Regina; a very special friend, Kerrie Kolacek; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Church of Christ or the West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
