Joyce (Rash) Quick, age 57, of Bellmead, formerly of West, passed away late Wednesday afternoon, June 30, 2010 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Terry McElrath officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Joyce was born June 23, 1953 in Waco, the daughter of Billy and Emma (Moulder) Rash. She attended schools in West. On June 2, 2001 she was united in marriage to Jim Quick in Tokio. Joyce was a cook at the Brookhaven Boys Ranch for the West I.S.D. and was a bar manager for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4819 Club in West. She was a Baptist. Joyce enjoyed cooking; being "everyone's Momma"; and the outdoors, especially the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia where she loved spending time with her husband Jim. Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wendal Rash. Survivors include her beloved husband of nine years, Jim Quick of Bellmead; a son, Ronald Snokhous of West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, Troy Rash and companion, Rod Billings of Waco and Kevin Rash and girlfriend, Angelia Smith of Waco; two sisters, Rebecca Smith and husband Howard of Arlington and Renee Dorris and husband Eddie of Bellmead; a very special friend, Dawn Rodarte of Elm Mott; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the West V.F.W. Post 4819.
