Joyce Marie Nesrsta

Joyce Marie Nesrsta, age 68, of Hewitt, passed away late Tuesday morning, October 18, 2022 at her residence.

A rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2022 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, with Rev. Stephen Nesrsta, Rev. Kyle Nesrsta, and Rev. James Ekeocha as celebrants, assisted by Deacon Terry Timmons. Burial will follow at Fatima Cemetery.

Joyce was born September 13, 1954 in Saint Jean d'Angély, France, the daughter of the late Henry and Simone (Lalanne) Hahmann. She attended schools in Waco. On February 11, 1996 she was united in marriage to Larry Nesrsta in Abbott. Joyce was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Woodway. She was an administrative assistant for Glazer's Beer & Beverage in Waco for the past 16 years. Prior to that she worked for Mrs. Baird's Bakery in Waco, Houston and Midland. Joyce enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, taking care of her plants, working with stained glass, gardening, cooking, and researching ancient history and religion. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 26 years, Larry Nesrsta of Hewitt; daughters, Michelle Benoski and husband Michael of Hawthorne, WI, Amy Conditt and husband Ben of Linden, TX, and Nicole DiNicola and husband Dan of Raleigh, NC; her grandchildren, Abigail Dealba, Codie Conditt, Delanie Conditt, Haylie Conditt, and Maren DiNicola, and a grandson on the way; a sister, Susan Felton and husband Bill; her in-laws, Evelyn Petter, Edward Nesrsta, and Rev. Stephen Nesrsta; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Michael Benoski, Ben Conditt, Dan DiNicola, Brian Petter, Jason Elliott, and Tyler Hykel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fuzzy Friends Rescue in Waco.
