Josh Adamson

Josh Adamson, age 41, of West, passed away early Sunday morning, October 13, 2019 at his residence. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Josh was born July 20, 1978 in Waco, the son of Miles "PeeWee" and Sonya (Snider) Adamson. He attended St. Mary's and West schools and was a 1996 graduate of West High School. Josh was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. He was also a member of ACTS and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Chapter 72. Josh was an electrician and most recently worked for S&S Services. He was especially good at his job, specifically running conduit. Josh enjoyed fishing, and watching Wheel of Fortune with his family. He loved playing basketball with his son, Cooper, and visiting with family and friends. Josh is preceded in death by his grandparents, Agnes Adamson, Meredith "Red" Adamson, and Edward and Eleanora Snider; and uncles, Edwin Emmert Jr. and Mike "Snake" Adamson. Survivors include his son, Cooper Adamson of West; his parents, Miles "PeeWee" and Sonya Adamson of West; his sister, Hilary Kinzie and husband John of Cypress; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Cooper Adamson, Jason Grochoske, Mike Zapata, John Kinzie, TJ Alligood, John Surley, Jason Tucker, and Blake Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are classmates from West High School class of 1996. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, West ACTS or Central Texas Intergroup (Alcoholics Anonymous).
