Joseph Wayne Halamik, age 56, of West, passed away late Monday morning, February 18, 2019 at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 10:00 a.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Aderhold Funeral Home, with Rev. Will Straten officiating. Joseph was born December 8, 1962 in Waco, the son of Joe and Patsy (Straten) Halamik. He was a 1981 graduate of West High School. Joseph worked for Quality Marble and The West News for many years. He was very mechanically inclined and quick to help his friends with their projects. Joseph liked doing yard work, being outdoors, barbecuing, and flying drones. He was a very loving, caring and giving man who always put others first and especially loved spending time with his family. Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Joe Halamik; brothers, Mark Halamik and Keith Halamik; and a brother-in-law, Slawek Rog. Survivors include his mother, Patsy Halamik; daughters, Madison Glaesmann and husband Blake and Camryn Halamik, all of West; a grandson, Zachary Glaesmann; sisters, Vivian Tekell and husband Lynn of West and Elaine Rog of Johnson City, TN; a brother, Patrick Halamik of Arlington; former wife, Dana Snokhous; sisters-in-law, Linda Halamik, MaryJane Halamik, and Vonceen "Carla" Halamik; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aderhold Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
