Jose F. Munoz

Jose F. Munoz, age 62, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, February 18, 2008 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott with Rev. B. George officiating. Mr. Munoz was born on December 18, 1945 in Mexico, the son of Salvador Munoz and Maria Munoz de Jesus Gomez. He attended school in Mexico and on April 1974, he was united in marriage to Yolanda Gonzalez in Indiana. He was a truck driver for Frozen Food Express in Dallas until his retirement on December 10, 2007. Jose loved bullriding, training horses, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Analilia. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott. Survivors include his wife Yolanda Gonzalez of Hillsboro; one son, Salvador Munoz Orosco of Aquascalientes, Mexico; one daughter Margarita Munoz of Hillsboro; six brothers, Jesus Munoz Gomez, Martin Munoz Gomez, Jose Munoz Gomez, Gerardo Munoz Gomez, Ramon Munoz Gomez, and Cornelio Munoz Gomez, all of Aquascalientes, Mexico; seven sisters, Isabel Munoz Gomez, Guadalupe Munoz Gomez, Teresa Munoz Gomez, Maria de Jesus Munoz Gomez, Margarita Munoz Gomez, Mariana Munoz Gomez, and Maria de La Luz Munoz Gomez; one granddaughter, AnaLilia Munoz-Carty of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott.
