Johnny Zimmerman

Milton L. "Johnny" Zimmerman, age 64, of Elm Mott, passed away early Monday afternoon, May 27, 2024 in Waco.

Graveside Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at White Rock Cemetery near Ross, with David Snipes officiating. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.

Johnny was born August 6, 1959 in Waco, the son of Richard and Susan (Taylor) Pointer. He was a 1977 graduate of Connally High School prior to attending McLennan Community College. Johnny was an inventory specialist for Oak Farms Milk Company for over 20 years before retiring in 2014. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Johnny is preceded in death by his pops, Richard Pointer; his father, James L. Zimmerman; mother, Susan Zimmerman; and a sister, Cathy Pointer.

Survivors include his children, Stephen  Zimmerman and wife Kimberly, Kayla Casteneda and husband Nicholas, and Shana Zimmerman; two sisters, Becky Carland and husband Bruce, and Rhonda "Ronnie" Pointer; his grandchildren, Madison, Joleigh, Addison, Shiann, Isiah, Cadence, and Alexandria; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by special friends, Jarrott Kuehne, Lora May Turner, Sidney Smith, Kevin Bennett, Ricky Grones and Ronnie Grones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
