Johnny Lichnovsky, age 78, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 12, 2013 at Lake Shore Village in Waco. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Cemetery in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Johnny was born February 17, 1934 in West, the son of Emil and Bertha (Pospisil) Lichnovsky. He attended schools in West. Johnny served his country with the United States Army. He worked in the West Textile Mill and was a self-employed carpenter. Johnny enjoyed going to garage sales, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family. He especially loved taking care of his dogs, Bubba and Little Bit. His parents and a sister, Dorothy Schulz, precede Johnny in death. Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Charanza and husband Adolph of Ross and Mary Ann Bezdek and husband Danny of Ft. Worth; brother-in-law, Billy Schulz of Abbott; special friends, Frankie and Callie Marek; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
