Johnnie L. (Price) Horn, age 80, of West, passed away early Friday afternoon, February 9, 2007 at Providence Health Center in Waco. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Bold Springs Cemetery with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Mrs. Horn was born September 5, 1926 in Waco, the daughter of Frank and Velma Lee (Huggins) Price. She attended schools in Waco. She was united in marriage to Clarence Allen Horn and he preceded her in death. Johnnie was an inspector for Marathon Battery Company in Waco for over 20 years before retiring in 1987. She also previously worked for Owens Illinois Glass Plant in Waco and as a young girl picked cotton in the fields. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Bellmead Chapter and a volunteer at West Rest Haven. Johnnie enjoyed fishing, gardening, painting, pencil drawing, cooking, playing the guitar, wood crafts, and playing golf. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elaine Hankinson; and a brother, Frank "Bud" Price. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy O'Brien and her husband Oliver of West; a son, Larry Horn and his wife Liz of Las Vegas, Nevada; a sister, Reba Leslie and her husband Melvin "Les" of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Tammy Elliott and husband Luke, Shannon O'Brien, Kristy O'Brien, Patty Horn and fiance Drew, Chris Horn, David Horn, Mark Horn, and Lisa Horn; six great grandchildren, including Tionna Lee Dixon-O'Brien and Trinity Elaine Elliott; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
