Joe Charles Barton

Joe Charles Barton, age 48, of Lubbock, passed away Sunday March 18, 2007 in Lubbock. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Thursday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with the Rev. James Berger officiating. The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Barton was born on July 2, 1958 in Amarillo, the son of Charles Weldon Barton and Dolores Ann Santos. He attended schools in West. Joe loved motorcyles and spending time outdoors. He was a former member of the Elm Mott Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by one sister, Diane Hardy; and stepmother, Allene Barton. Survivors include his father, Charles Barton and wife Ann; his mother, Dolores Ann Santos; one sister, Debra Spadero and husband Mike; and three nieces and one nephew. Memorials may be made to Bellmead Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
