Joe Buzbee

Joe Buzbee, age 68, of Gholson, passed away early Thursday morning, August 12, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Gholson, with Rev. Todd Pick officiating. Burial will follow at Gholson Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West. Joe was born July 24, 1953 in Waco, the son of James and Viola (Neumann) Buzbee. He was a 1972 graduate of Aquilla High School. On June 9, 1998 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Parker in Corpus Christi. Joe was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He worked for TXU Comanche Peak for 30 years. Joe enjoyed farming, mowing grass, cleaning, organizing, boating, going to the coast, playing with his dogs, and anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and making them laugh, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Shanna Buzbee. Survivors include his beloved wife of 23 years, Cynthia Buzbee of Gholson; two daughters, Shari Page and husband Tim of Gholson, and Roxann Buzbee of Gholson; his step-children, Shawn Fate and wife Nicole of Argyle, and Chariti Baltazar and husband Larry of Frisco; sisters, Leona Saunders and Linda Buzbee; brothers, James Buzbee and wife Jana, Tom Buzbee and wife Peggy, and Terry Buzbee and wife Sonja; nine grandchildren, Jason Phillips and wife Megan, Jasmine Flores and husband Jorge, Taylor Page, Rylee Page, Lilyanna Watkins, Maverick Buzbee, Alex Baltazar, Alayna Baltazar, and Lucas Baltazar; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Phillips and Jonas Phillips; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Jason Phillips, Trey Buzbee, Justin Buzbee, Cody Rieger, Shawn Fate, and Robby Saunders. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
