Joe A. "Jody" Grellhesl, age 76, of Tours, passed away early Saturday morning, June 29, 2013 at Park Plaza Nursing Home in Whitney. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki and Rev. Michael Ajewole as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Jody was born November 24, 1936 in Tours, the son of Joe M. and Elizabeth M. (Uptmor) Grellhesl. He attended St. Martin's School. Jody worked for Kozelski Motor Company, Fleetwood Mobile Homes, Mosley Machine Shop, and McLennan County Precinct 3 as a road foreman for 25 years before his retirement in 1999. He was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Jody enjoyed fishing, farming, and raising cattle, chickens, and rabbits. He also enjoyed working on old Farmall tractors. He was a person that could make friends easily. Jody is preceded in death by his parents; and several aunts and uncles. Survivors include a sister, Clara Sparks, and her husband Billy of Gholson; special aunt, Faye Grellhesl; nieces, Melissa Teal and husband Johnny, Lynette Kaluza and husband David and Krystal McMahon and husband Ryan; great-nieces, Taylor and Chloe Kaluza; great-nephews, Wyatt and Garrett Teal, Tyler Kaluza, and Tristan Sparks McMahon; great-great niece, Alyssa Moran Teal; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Johnny Teal, David Kaluza, Ryan McMahon, Jack Wiley, Tommy Kutscherousky, and Bill Polansky. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Martin's Cemetery Association, Providence Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
