Jody Boen

Jody Boen, age 35, of Elm Mott, passed away late Friday evening, December 26, 2014 in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Round Grove Cemetery in DeLeon. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jody was born February 11, 1979 in Waco, the son of Jimmy and Mary Kathryn (Johnson) Boen. He attended schools in Robinson and graduated from Brownwood High School in 1998. He then attended the Marine Mechanic Institute in Orlando, FL. On September 13, 2003 he was united in marriage to Janelle Fuller. Janelle preceded him in death on November 17, 2003. On March 11, 2007 he was united in marriage to Susan Talley in Waco. Jody worked as a truck driver for Donald Keel Trucking. He also worked for Big Creek Construction and Knife River Construction. Jody enjoyed karaoke and fishing. He especially loved spending time with his daughters. Jody is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Deryl Johnson and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Boen. Survivors include his daughters, Katie and Allyson Boen; the mother of his children, Susan Boen of Hewitt; his mother, Kathy Webb and her husband Terry of Elm Mott; his maternal grandmother, LaJoyce Johnson; his father, Jimmy Boen and wife Mary; a close friend, Rebekah Wiedman; his brother, James Boen; his sisters, Jennifer Deanda and husband Martin and Teri Lynn Nardell and husband Bobby; his parents-in-law, Robert and Jackie Talley; a brother-in-law, Bob Talley; a sister-in-law, Lynette Talley; his nieces and nephews, Ethan, Roger, Kyleah, Alyssa, Cynthia, Gracie, Lane, Logan, Lawson and Ledger; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Elton Marsh, Michael Sutterfield, Cowboy Parks, Chad Goetz, Billy Parks and Michael Parks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an education fund for his daughters.
