Joanna Lavon Temples

Joanna LaVon Temples, age 44, of Whitney, passed away late Tuesday morning, August 7, 2018 at Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro. Per her request, no services will be held. Joanna was born July 24, 1974 in Georgetown, the daughter of Geraldine (Myers) and the late Joe Dickey. She attended Brownwood schools and Connally High School in Waco. On June 5, 2008 she was united in marriage to Gary Lynn Temples in Whitney. Joanna was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed fishing and painting, leaving many beautiful pieces of artwork for her family to cherish. Survivors include her beloved husband of 10 years, Gary Temples of Whitney; her daughter, LaVon Lammers and husband Robert of Waco; her mother, Geraldine Dickey of Whitney; a brother, Cody Dickey and wife Kathleen; a sister, Cynthia Kite; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.
