Joana Williams

Joana (Esparza) Williams, age 48, of Penelope, passed away early Wednesday morning, January 10, 2018 at Providence Hospital in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at the Church of the Nativity BVM in Penelope, with Deacon Denver Crawley officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery near Penelope. Joana was born December 2, 1969 in Hillsboro, the daughter of Phillip and Anna (Moreno) Esparza. She was a 1988 graduate of Penelope High School and attended Hill Junior College. Joana was a homemaker. She also was a teller for Wells Fargo in Hillsboro and Hubbard for over 10 years and worked for the Bass Shoe Store and Northland Cable Company. Joana was a faithful member of the Church of the Nativity BVM in Penelope. She enjoyed working outside, traveling to her favorite destination of Colorado and taking care of her animals, especially her dog, "Cappie". She loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Jessica Raborn and husband Julian of Penelope and Corey Williams of Elm Mott; her mother, Anna Esparza and husband Papa Lou; her father, Phillip Esparza; a grandson, Kai Raborn; a sister, Nikki Collins and husband Justin; brothers, Phillip Esparza Jr. and wife Rachael, Erik Esparza and John Paul Esparza and wife Melissa; nephews, Treston, Devin, Kaden, Kash and Pierce; nieces, Megan, Kayleigh and Kyndall; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Phillip Esparza, Erik Esparza, John Paul Esparza, Justin Collins, Corey Williams and Julian Raborn. Honorary pallbearers are Pierce Esparza, Kaden Collins, Kai Raborn, Kash Esparza, Treston Esparza and Devin Esparza. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church of the Nativity BVM in Penelope.
