Jody Lott, age 84, of West, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 1, 2020 at her residence. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Dr. John Crowder officiating. Jody was born June 6, 1936 in Post, Texas the daughter of the late Cecil and Winnie (Bankston) White. She attended schools in West and was a 1955 graduate of West High School. On August 17, 1957 she was united in marriage to Dan C. Lott in West. Dan preceded her in death on May 2, 1988. Jody was a member of the First Baptist Church in West. She worked for Texas Farm Bureau in Waco for 50 years before retiring. Jody enjoyed reading and watching football. She especially loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her children, Craig Lott and wife Kay of China Spring, Jamie Dulock and husband Anthony, Dana Ward and husband Billy and Chris Lott and wife Melissa, all of West; her grandchildren, Lynsey Symank and husband Chad, Matthew Dulock and wife Kaylee, Justin Ward and wife Crystal, Brittany Waters and husband Brandon, Brandi Lott and fiancé Brenden Ferrier, Clint Lott, Tyler Schaffer, Skylar Schaffer, Dan Curtis Lott II, and Dylan Lott; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Matthew Dulock, Chad Symank, Justin Ward, Brandon Waters, Clint Lott, Brenden Ferrier and Tyler Schaffer. Honorary pallbearers are her great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Rest Haven Memorial Fund or American Cancer Society.
