Jim Rich

Jim Rich, age 81, of Gholson, passed away Thursday night, February 22, 2024 at his residence.

A Memorial Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.

Jim was born September 21, 1942 in Waco, the son of Teddie and Edith (Odom) Rich. He attended school in Gholson and graduated from West High School. On January 16, 1970 he was united in marriage to Sue Nelson in Waco. Sue preceded him in death on June 18, 2020. Jim was a member of First Baptist Church of Gholson. He worked for Mars Wrigley Confectionary in Waco for over 20 years. Jim enjoyed working on automobiles, gardening, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family who thought the world of him.

Jim is also preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Missy Burns; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Rich; sister, Celia Foreman; brother, Billy Joe Rich; and brother-in-law, Dan Foreman.

Survivors include his children, Mike Roberts and wife Deanne of Gholson, Jimmy Rich of Gholson, Brian Roberts and wife Lisa of Aquilla, Larry Rich of Hawaii, and Robyn Mills and husband Keith of Lorena; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; his fur babies, Jake, Bo and Miss Kitty; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gholson Cemetery Asscoiation.
