Jim Clark, age 64, of West, passed away Saturday afternoon, August 28, 2021 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West, with Rev. Robert McDougal officiating. Military Graveside Rites will follow at Bold Springs Cemetery, conducted by the West Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Limited capacity, facial masks, and social distancing are encouraged at all services. Jim was born November 7, 1956 in Houston, the son of James "Piggy" Clark and the late Martha (Starnes) Clark. Jim was a 1975 graduate of Stratford High School in Houston. He proudly served his country as an infantryman with the United States Army serving in Germany, and Fort Jackson, Fort Benning, Fort Sam Houston and Fort Sill. Upon his return he attended Austin Community College and Texas State University. Jim was a fraud inspector for the Texas Workforce Commission in Austin for over 12 years. Survivors include his father, James "Piggy" Clark of West; a brother, John Clark and wife Julie of Austin; a nephew, Mason Clark of Washington, DC; his beloved dog, Jack; and many other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Bruce Raschke, Donnie Kankle, Clifford Archer, Dave Barber, Tom Hutyra, Michael Warren, and Bobby Williams. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Volunteer Ambulance Association. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Baylor Scott & White Hospice for their loving care.
