Jewel Maler, age 91, of West, passed away late Saturday evening, March 3, 2012 in Hamilton. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home, with Minister Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Vaughan Cemetery near Aquilla. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Jewel was born July 25, 1920 in Coryell County near Ireland, the daughter of William Hardin and Lydia Ethel (Woulard) Bundrant. She attended schools in Ireland. On September 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to Ernest Maler in Lacy Lakeview. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2001. Jewel was a homemaker. She was a longtime and faithful member of the West Church of Christ. She enjoyed playing "42", housecleaning, fishing, crocheting and quilting. She was an artist. She especially loved to paint. Jewel is also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jesse Lee Bundrant and Tommy Lynn Bundrant; three sisters, Lillie Louise Lee, Willie Mae Wilburn and Lydia Jane Bundrant. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Church of Christ or the West Volunteer Ambulance Association.
