Jesus Perez Zaldivar

Jesus Perez Zaldivar, age 77, of West, passed away late Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco.

A rosary will be recited 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Born on February 5, 1948, in Chalchihuites, Mexico, Jesus was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was the son of Adrian and Guadalupe (Zaldivar) Perez, and in August of 1969, he was united in marriage to Celia Chavez, together building a life filled with love and joy. For over 30 years, Jesus dedicated his life to his work at Jupe Mills in West, where his strong work ethic and warm spirit left a lasting impression on his colleagues and friends. Jesus was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy in riding and caring for horses, sharing a cold beer, and, most importantly, spending quality time with his family and friends. His kind nature will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lily Perez; and siblings, Herminia, Elvira, Socorro, and Eulogio Perez.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Celia Perez Chavez of West; his children, David Perez and wife Gracia, Elvia Perez and husband Avelino Villa, Enrique Perez and wife Anamaria Castaneda, Nena Perez and husband Gerardo Valles, Ubaldo Perez and wife Yovanna, and Olivia Perez and husband Humberto Sanchez; 25 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Cecilio, Eva, Guadalupe, Maximiliano, Cira, and Humberto Perez; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers are Jesus Perez, Leobardo Villa, Cristobal Perez, Genaro Valles, Rogelio Valles, Alfonso Perez, Diego Perez, and Osvaldo Perez.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Cemetery Association.

Jesús Pérez Zaldívar, de 77 años, residente de West, falleció la noche del jueves 3 de abril de 2025 en el Hospital Ascension Providence de Waco.

Se rezará el rosario a las 17:00 h del miércoles en la capilla de la Funeraria Aderhold, seguido del velatorio hasta las 19:00 h. La misa de entierro cristiano se celebrará a las 11:30 h del jueves 10 de abril de 2025 en la Iglesia Católica de la Asunción de Santa María en West, oficiada por el reverendo Timothy Vaverek. El entierro se realizará posteriormente en el Cementerio de Santa María.

Nacido el 5 de febrero de 1948 en Chalchihuites, México, Jesús fue un amado esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo. Hijo de Adrián y Guadalupe (Zaldívar) Pérez, en agosto de 1969 se unió en matrimonio con Celia Chávez, quienes juntos construyeron una vida llena de amor y alegría. Durante más de 30 años, Jesús dedicó su vida a su trabajo en Jupe Mills, en West, donde su sólida ética de trabajo y su cálido espíritu dejaron una huella imborrable en sus colegas y amigos. Jesús era un hombre de placeres sencillos, que disfrutaba montando y cuidando caballos, compartiendo una cerveza fría y, sobre todo, pasando tiempo de calidad con su familia y amigos. Su carácter bondadoso siempre resonará en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron y amaron.

A Jesús le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; una hija, Lily Pérez; y sus hermanos, Herminia, Elvira, Socorro y Eulogio Pérez.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa de 55 años, Celia Pérez Chávez, de West; sus hijos, David Pérez y su esposa Gracia; Elvia Pérez y su esposo Avelino Villa; Enrique Pérez y su esposa Anamaría Castañeda; Nena Pérez y su esposo Gerardo Valles; Ubaldo Pérez y su esposa Yovanna; y Olivia Pérez y su esposo Humberto Sánchez; 25 nietos; 3 bisnietos; Hermanos y hermanas: Cecilio, Eva, Guadalupe, Maximiliano, Cira y Humberto Pérez; y numerosos sobrinos, sobrinas, otros familiares y amigos.

Los portadores del féretro son Jesús Pérez, Leobardo Villa, Cristóbal Pérez, Genaro Valles, Rogelio Valles, Alfonso Pérez, Diego Pérez y Osvaldo Pérez.

En lugar de flores, se pueden hacer donaciones a la Asociación del Cementerio de Santa María.
