Jerry Trammell

Jerry Trammell, age 79, of Gholson, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021 at his residence. Per Jerry's request, no services will be held. Jerry was born April 20, 1942 in Waco, the son of Jerry and Mary (Griffith) Trammell. He attended La Vega Schools in Bellmead. Jerry proudly served his country with the United States Air Force. He worked in civil service as a government safety inspector for Ellington Air Force Base in Houston and Bergstrom Air Force Base in Austin for 20 years before retiring in 2004. Jerry enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, and deer hunting. He loved spending time with his family. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Masonic Onion Creek Lodge #220 in Austin. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Merry Beth Trammell; and a granddaughter, Krista Skeen. Survivors include his son, Lawrence Trammell and wife Denise; a sister, Janet McCartney; two brothers, Mike Trammell and Robert Trammell; a grandson, Greg Trammell and wife Teresa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial donations may be made to Gholson Cemetery Association in honor of Jerry.
