John David "J.D." Colfer, age 35, of Georgetown, passed away late Saturday night, April 30, 2022, at his residence. A Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Gerald Cemetery near Elm Mott, with Rev. Rick Aguilar officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by West Veterans Honor Guard. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel. J.D. was born August 15, 1986 in Davenport, IA, the son of Colleen (Colfer) Green and Keith Plett. He was a 2004 graduate of West High School. J.D. proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Lake Tahoe Plumbing and Heating for several years. J.D. enjoyed cooking outside on the grill, camping, fishing, watching movies, going to concerts, taking care of his animals and hanging out with his many friends. He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and mother. J.D. is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ted and Donna Scott and John William Colfer; and paternal grandparents, Wayne and Eleanor Plett. Survivors include his mother, Colleen Green; his father, Keith Plett; children, Layna Colfer and Tyler Colfer; brothers, Austin Green and wife Sarah, Jesse Green, Michael Mann and wife Alicia, Dillon Plett and wife Ashley, and Logan Plett and wife Makayla; sister, Ashleigh Park; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Buckius, Vincent Bell, Colin Campbell, Aaron Groves, Angelica Groves, and Cody Beasley.
