Janice Marie (Parma) Allison, age 54, of Chalk Bluff, passed away late Friday evening, July 17, 2009 at Providence Health Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Monday at Aderhold Funeral Home by Janice Kaluza, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Janice was born February 8, 1955 in Waco, the daughter of Joe and Rosalie (Matus) Parma. She graduated from Penelope High School where she met and later married the love of her life, Kerry Allison, on March 31, 1973. After 33 years of marriage he was called home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2006. Janice worked as a group leader for Tatex in Waco for over 25 years. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed carrying on family traditions and going out to eat. Her most precious time was spent with her family and grandchildren. Her parents; a brother, James Parma; her father-in-law, Homer Allison, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Allison; also preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Shannon Marie Shroyer and husband Matt of Waco, Tonja Lynn Bailey and husband Brian of Southlake, and Crystal Dawn Allison & Steven Veselka of China Spring; a brother, Ray Parma and wife Rose of Elm Mott; her mother-in-law, JoAnn Allison of Hewitt; a brother-in-law, Al Allison and wife Heather of Chattanooga TN; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Drews and husband Garry of West and LaDonna Stough and husband Don of Cedar Park; five grandchildren, Allyson Parsons, Tylor and Taryn Hammermeister, Madyson Shroyer, and Greyson Bailey; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Sam Mason, Brad Gyorko, Greg Lemanski, Chris Huerta, Bruce Walrath, and Mo Olivarez. Honorary pallbearers are Marvin Crouch and Bill Bregan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Mary's Cemetery, or the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Anderson, his nurses and staff of Texas Oncology, especially Laura and Dawn.
