Janet Hendrix Monthie

Janet (Hendrix) Monthie, age 57, of Elm Mott, passed away late Thursday morning, July 5, 2012 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Gerald, with Rev. Gene Kotrla officiating. Burial will follow at Gerald Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Janet was born September 28, 1954 in Waco, the daughter of James Richard and Frankie Mae (Gober) Hendrix. She attended school at Connally and received her Bachelor Degree in Medical Administration from AIU. Janet was a homemaker and worked for West Rest Haven for several years as a Medical Aide. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Robinson. Janet enjoyed taking care of her farm animals, fishing and camping at the lake, and playing games. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Hendrix Jr. Survivors include her husband, Roy H. Monthie Sr. of Elm Mott; a son, Roy Monthie Jr. and wife Angela of Robinson; a daughter, Angela Carlton and husband William "Dub" of China Spring; two brothers, Steven Hendrix and wife Sheri of Fairfield and David Hendrix and wife Laura of Waco; a sister, Patsy Driver and husband Louis of Rowlett; four grandchildren, William "Trey", Tylan, Andelynn, and Abrianna; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Trey Carlton, Kyle Hendrix, Brandon Cade, Michael Hendrix, Russell Monthie, and Mark Monthie. Honorary pallbearers are Tylan Carlton, and Shaun Monthie.
