James Lee Eastwood

James Lee "Papaw" Eastwood, age 82, of Gholson, passed away Sunday morning, January 8, 2012 at his residence. As per his request, no services will be held. The family does request friends and relatives to please stop by and visit with Mamaw at the residence. Mr. Eastwood was born October 16, 1929 in Gholson, the son of Buford Lee and Lillie Mae (McCartney) Eastwood. He attended school in Gholson. On September 9, 1948 he was united in marriage to Rosalie Kyselka in Waco. James was a farmer and rancher for all his life. He enjoyed raising watermelons and peanuts, fishing, and hunting. He especially loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren, spending time with his family and telling stories. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Rosalie Eastwood; three sons, Glenn Eastwood and wife Janie of Robinson, and Nick Eastwood and Randy Eastwood, both of Gholson; a brother, Aubrey Eastwood and wife Joyce of Matagorda; two sisters, Patsy Sterling and Fannie Barnes and husband Bob, all of Gholson; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
