Jackie Denney

November 12, 1943 — February 8, 2025

Jackiesue Denney, of West, left this world on February 8, 2025 to see what awaits us on the other side... she was supposed to live forever.

A celebration of life will be held for Jackiesue on Friday, March 7 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at Aderhold Funeral Home, 808 South Reagan St, West, TX 76691. This time of celebrating Jackie and meeting with the family will be livestreamed, which you can view HERE.

Jackiesue was born November 12, 1943 to Helen and Frank Roycroft. She was a proud Texas girl and military brat. Jackie usually traveled with her daddy (she loved living on the Air Force base in Hawaii), but when she stayed back in Texas, it was her aunt Leola who took care of her. During those times in her childhood, Jackie ran wild with her cousins. Let's be honest, Jackie always ran wild. It wasn't until her sons gave her grandchildren that she decided it was officially time to slow down. Being a grandmother was the highlight of her life. She supported all of her granddaughters in every aspect. She was there for school pick ups, sporting events, and every other major event. In 2012, Jackie became a great grandmother. No other great grandchildren have known a love like Jackie gave them. She loved taking them to the West library, gazebo, park, and museum. She also loved attending all extracurricular activity they had as well.

Jackiesue had a wild heart that was so big, she made everyone feel as if they were her best friend or grandchild. She loved doing for others, volunteering, and calling individuals out on their bs. We will never forget the impact that she made on all of our lives.

Jackie is preceded in death by her daddy, Frank Roycroft; son, David Brown; mother, Helen; sister, Gracie; cousin, Terry Liles; best friend, Snake Adamson; and bonus grandson, Joshua Adamson.

She leaves behind her son, Thomas and wife Candace Brown, and daughter, Mary Jo Denney; granddaughters, Jennifer Machac, Jamie and husband Tyler Nowaski, Nicole and husband Matt Reynolds, and Haley Brown; bonus grandsons, Scott and wife Jamie Harris, and Jeff and wife Christie Harris; great grandchildren, Olivia, Abigale, Dylan, Delilah, Sammie, Sophia, Bella, Allie, Rowan, Stafford, and Finley.

In lieu of flowers, Jackie would ask that you do something nice for your neighbor, for your friend. Make a meal, do someone's laundry, volunteer, be the good in the world.
