Inez Busby Morgan Schrum, age 88, of Dallas, formerly of West, passed away Tuesday morning, February 1, 2005 in Arlington. Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with Minister Wes Price officiating. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Schrum was born on February 18, 1916 in West, the daughter of Frank and Alice Mae (Thomas) Busby. She attended schools in West and graduated from West High School in 1933. On December 23, 1933 in West, she was united in marriage to Jim C. Morgan for 52 years until he preceded her in death on July 13, 1986. She then married Roger E. Schrum on March 3, 1991 in Dallas. Inez was a homemaker and a wonderful mother who enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She was a member of Jefferson Blvd Church of Christ and was very active in the teaching of Sunday School and served as a Director for the Vacation Bible School for many years. Survivors include her beloved husband, Roger Schrum of Arlington; two daughters, Nancy Ann Mitchell of Mansfield and Mary Beth Taylor and husband George of Burleson; one stepson, Patrick R. Schrum and wife Patricia of Katy; one stepdaughter, Laura L. Carney of Washington, D. C.; one brother, Frank T. Busby of Ft. Worth; three sisters, Charlotte "Polly" Porter of Ft. Worth, Dorothy Smith of McGregor, and Mary Miller of Hewitt; three grandchildren, Natalie K. Taylor of Athens, Ohio, April E. Taylor of Burleson and Matthew Mitchell of Dallas; two step grandchildren, Patrick Schrum and Kacy Leis; and several nieces and nephews.
