Ian Walker

Ian Forbes Walker, age 46, of Woodway, passed away Wednesday morning, February 1, 2023 at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Ian graduated from Midway High School and the University Of Minnesota. He was an Eagle Scout and a Vigil Honor Member of Order of the Arrow. He was a dedicated employee of Target and HEB, served on the Cameron Park Zoo Board, the Hewitt Chamber Of Commerce, and he was the Board Director for Eagle Christian Academy throughout his life.

Ian enjoyed spending time with his three daughters, Halle, Bryna and Kylie, and his son, Pearce. He loved looking for fossils and crystals, working with Legos and puzzles, going to the family cabin in Minnesota to play on the lake with family and friends, and sharing his favorite music with his loved ones.

Ian is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Erica Andrle Walker of Woodway; his children, Halle, Bryna, Kylie and Pearce; his father, Donald F Walker Jr. and wife Bonnie; his mother, Nancy Walker Smith and husband Don; two sisters, Erin Abbe and husband Alan and Marnie Crowe and husband Matt; a brother, Kyle Walker and wife Megan; his father-in-law, Frank Andrle and Jan Kriegel; his mother-in-law, Martha Stalkfleet and husband Brad; his nieces and nephews, Kai, Kyra, Kase, and Kendan Abbe, Maya and Emily Walker, Walker, Sullivan, and Crosbie Crowe, and Kaylee and Colton Andrle; and countless friends and distant relatives.

Active pallbearers are Craig Andrle, Alan Abbe, Matt Crowe, Kyle Walker, Kai and Kase Abbe and Richard Garcia. They will serve alongside his work family at HEB as his honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Eagle Christian Academy for the betterment of Christian Education.
