On the day, he slipped on the ice and literally fell at the feet of his future wife, Linda Ihlenfeldt. Both Herman and Linda have been together ever since. They were married by Herman's father, Rev. H.F. Crews, on June 23, 1973 in Dallas. Herman was also baptized into Christianity by his father, a Nazarene minister. The sunshine of Herman's life was his lovely wife, Linda. Their son, Mark, was his pride and joy. His parents, the late Rev. H.F. and Murl (Couch) Crews, were his heroes.
