Henrietta Urban

Henrietta Josephine Urban, age 88, of West, formerly of Bellmead, was escorted by angels into her heavenly home early Wednesday morning, June 2, 2010 at West Rest Haven. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Friday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Timothy Vavarek as celebrants. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Urban was born on March 15, 1922 in West, the daughter of Frank and Bessie (Rejcek) Kaska. She attended St. Mary's School in West. On August 11, 1947, she was united in marriage to William M. Urban in West. She worked for Wolf's Manufacturing in Waco and volunteered for Caritas in Waco for several years. Henrietta and Willie delivered Meals on Wheels in Bellmead for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning, sewing, reading mysteries and watching John Wayne movies. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Henrietta was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and formerly a faithful member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Bellmead. She was also a member of K.J.Z.T. Society where she served as a youth sponsor; Catholic Daughters of America; and the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women for the Austin Diocese. Henrietta was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Urban and three brothers, Henry Kaska, Anton "Tony" Kaska, and Frank Kaska. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, William "Willie" Urban of West; a son, Anthony Urban and wife Mary of West; two daughters, Anna Urbanovsky and husband Richard of West and Catherine Devorsky and husband Bobby of Bellmead; six grandchildren, Denise Pruski and husband Charles of Wimberley, Mark Urbanovsky and wife Kris of Johnson City, Holly Johnson and husband Michael of Bellmead, G. T. Devorsky and wife Melissa of Cedar Park, Marsha Rogers and husband Jeff of College Station and Michael Devorsky and wife Jessica of Bellmead; great grandchildren, Alexis Urbanovsky, Levi Urbanovsky, Westin Pruski, Cassie Pruski, Kade Rogers, Kallen Rogers and Maximilian Devorsky; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers are Charles Pruski, Mark Urbanovsky, Michael Johnson, G.T. Devorsky, Jeff Rogers, and Michael Devorsky. Memorials may be made to the West Rest Haven Memorial Fund or to Caritas.
