Henrietta Chudej

Henrietta Stephanie Chudej, age 98, of West, passed away late Tuesday afternoon, March 12, 2019 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Henrietta was born December 26, 1920 in West, the daughter of Henry and Antonia (Hejl) Nors. She attended school in Aquilla. On June 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Benjamin Chudej in West. Benjamin preceded her in death on October 10, 2005. Henrietta was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She was a member of KJZT Society #11. She worked for West Community Hospital for several years and took care of many area children. Henrietta enjoyed crocheting, sewing, quilting, canning, baking and going to the Nors family farm. She especially loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Henrietta is also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lawrence Eugene Chudej; brothers, Joe Nors, Henry Nors Jr., Emil Nors and Ernest Nors; sisters, Josephine Nors, Mary Soukup, Rosie Kolar, and Marcella Kaska. Survivors include her children, Pat Lee, Jerry Chudej and wife Mary Lou, and Judy Kudelka and husband James, all of West; siblings, Bill Nors and wife Tillie, Lillian Kissinger and husband Harold, and Evelyn Pratka and husband Dan; a sister-in-law, JoAnn Nors; grandchildren, Lori Klaus and husband Kyle, Cristy Hykel and husband Justin, Leslie Sans and husband Nick, Stephanie Lee, Chad Kudelka and wife Janine, Matt Kudelka and wife Becky, Mandy Milligan and husband Richard, and Evan Kudelka; great grandchildren, Kade, Kason, Reigan, Sloan, Gwyneth, Riley, Brayden, Wyatt, Levi, Presley and Easton; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Active pallbearers are Chad Kudelka, Matt Kudelka, Evan Kudelka, Kade Klaus, Kason Klaus and Riley Kudelka. Honorary pallbearers are Lori & Kyle Klaus, Cristy, Justin & Reigan Hykel, Leslie, Nick, Sloan & Gwyneth Sans, Stephanie Lee, Mandy, Richard, Wyatt, Levi, Presley & Easton Milligan, Becky & Brayden Kudelka, and Janine Kudelka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or the charity of your choice.
