Henrietta Beseda, age 91, of Penelope, passed away early Monday morning, February 19, 2007 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. in Penelope with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery near Penelope. Mrs. Beseda was born January 2, 1916 near Mt. Calm, the daughter of Fred and Emilie (Holacka) Pribyla. She was raised in the Penelope area and attended Griffin school. On October 25, 1937 she was united in marriage to Raymond John Beseda in Penelope. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2002. Henrietta was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering. Henrietta was a member of the Altar Society and R.V.O.S. She was also a faithful and lifelong member of the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. in Penelope, where she helped with the church bazaars. She is also preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons, Michael Kucera who passed away on November 28, 2002 and Stephen Kucera. Survivors include a daughter, Claudine Kucera and her husband Johnny of Penelope; a granddaughter, Janice Chase and her husband Rodger of West; two great grandsons, Craig Chase and Rodger Chase Jr., both of West; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Pallbearers are Rodger Chase, Lonnie Beseda, Gary Beseda, Bobby Beseda, Danny Ray Pratka, Lawrence Pribyla, and Richard Kocian. Memorials may be made to Church of the Nativity BVM Building Fund or St. Mary's Parish Center.
